We are looking for a Lead buyer for our Business Unit in Western Europa to develop and use our World Class Supplier base for technical parts, all in good cooperation with the companies. You possess relevant experience, and you combine good communication skills with a result-driven attitude.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your key responsibilities will be to develop our partner suppliers and support the companies with their sourcing activities

• responsible for the results of the appointed categories (i.c. fasteners)

• execute the sourcing strategy and develop long-term relationships with key suppliers

• lead supplier performance evaluation and continuous improvement initiatives

• realize a compliant supplier portfolio (internal and external requirements)

• understand the supply chain and cost drivers for your products and negotiate global frame contracts and purchase conditions

• analyze sourcing practices, identify opportunities and drive re-sourcing projects to boost Bufab’s profitability on running business

• build trust and effective cooperation with stakeholders in the local companies

• be an escalation level for the companies solving structural issues

• drive results and report regularly to the Business Unit Sourcing Director on progress and target achievement

We are looking for candidates with this experience and competences

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant area

• 5 to 10 years of relevant experience: Category, sourcing or vendor management

• experience in supporting multi-functional projects in an international work environment with remote locations

• good communicator and negotiator with natural skills to develop effective relationships with stakeholders

• positive mindset, resilient

• Knowledge of technical products and/or knowledge of manufacturing processes producing technical parts. Ideally: fastener experience

• analytical skills, advanced excel

• action and goal-oriented team player with a high degree of self-management, “Pro-active Solutionist”

• fluency in English (written and oral) is a must, Dutch preferred

• willingness to travel about once a quarter (mainly Europe)

The ideal candidate is a business leader with broad experience in sourcing, having knowledge of technical parts and who understands what is needed to drive the business forward in an international matrix organization.
