Industrial Engineer

Drive continuous improvement in logistics and assembly.

32-39 hours per week

Your tasks and responsibilities

As a member of the Operations team, you will report to the Operations Manager. You will work closely with colleagues from various departments in multidisciplinary teams to introduce new assemblies or improve existing assembly and kitting processes.

Based on your thorough technical knowledge and process thinking skills you continuously develop the assembly processes. You have an advisory role towards Account Managers regarding new customer requests and you challenge and support the Assembly Department to improve running their existing processes.

You will support the Assembly Department by:

  • - Participating in multidisciplinary projects to introduce new products or changes.
  • - Developing processes for new and changed products, including workstations, tools and documents.
  • - Continuously improving the existing processes by applying Lean Six Sigma methods.
  • - Driving innovation, developing, and maintaining a strategic roadmap.
  • - Supporting team leaders in case of technical issues.
  • - Handling customer complaints related to assembled products (applying 8D method).
  • - Coordinating production releases (PPAP).
  • - Support development of performance dashboard (PowerBI).
  • - Development of fixtures and tools (Autodesk Inventor and Ultimaker 3D printer).


Vereisten

Your competences and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Knowledge of various manufacturing methods and material properties of technical components.
  • Experience with manual assembly and kitting.
  • Knowledge of SMART-manufacturing.
  • Good communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Project management skills (e.g. inspiring a team, setting goals, planning, change management etc.).
  • Experience with improvement methods such as DMAIC, 5S and Lean Six Sigma. Preferably Green Belt certified.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools (preferably PowerBI experience).
  • Preferably knowledge of Automotive methods such as PPAP.
  • Experience with Autodesk Inventor and Ultimaker 3D printer is preferred.
